About the Artist

Dani Ives (she/her) is a fiber artist working at the intersection of observation, ecology, and material. Grounded in the Ozarks and informed by a background in biology and conservation education, her practice spans sketchbooks, painting, and fiber. She is known for her unique needle felting technique, painting with wool, which she uses to create lifelike portraits and nature-inspired work that explores light, growth, movement, and presence, while documenting the quiet patterns that shape relationships between humans, animals, and place.

Her work has been showcased nationally, including at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Arkansas Historic Museum, and the Women of the Ozarks exhibition. Dani is the author of Painting with Wool and teaches workshops worldwide, both online and in person. Her awards include the Artist 360 Grant, the Arkansas Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship, an Award of Excellence from Fiber Art Now, and inclusion in the National Museum of Women in the Arts Juried Artist Registry (2025–2027). She lives and works in Rogers, Arkansas.
